Activities

The SCM organizes various activities, whether in research, teaching, or outreach, to promote the development of mathematics. The activities may be aimed at a general audience or more specifically at students, teachers, professors, or researchers. We present them classified into conferences, workshops, and training. 

You will find a specific section for publications, awards, and competitions. 

In the conferences section you will find: the Barcelona Mathematical Days and joint meetings with other scientific societies.

The series of workshops revolve around various themes, with the aim of joint reflection, exchange, or training, some organized jointly with other entities.

• IDM Workshop, International Day of Mathematics.
• Catalan Women Mathematicians Workshop.
• TFM Workshop, Master's Final Projects. 

In the training section, we have grouped training programs for young people, such as Estalmat and Crazy about Mathematics. 

Some activities are organized jointly with other entities, such as the Federation of Entities for the Teaching of Mathematics of Catalonia (FEEMCAT), the Catalan Society of Statistics, the Catalan Association of Artificial Intelligence (ACIA),  and the Catalan universities themselves. The Department of Education of the Government of Catalonia, the Museum of Mathematics of Catalonia (MMACA), or other institutions in the country also collaborate.
