Maria Antonia Canals Prize

Prize jointly convened annually by the Federation of Entities for the Teaching of Mathematics in Catalonia (FEEMCAT), the Balearic Society of Mathematics (SBM-XEIX), the Society of Mathematics Education of the Valencian Community “al-Khwārizmī”, and the Catalan Society of Mathematics, with the aim of recognizing innovative projects and experiences in mathematics teaching at all educational levels: early childhood education (0–6 years), primary education (6–12 years), secondary education (12–18 years), and university education.

Since 2023, each edition is dedicated to the territory of the Society that organizes the JEM that year to promote territorial balance, and is managed by the organizing association. The jury is made up of one or two representatives from each of the societies, so that people from the territory where the prize is awarded act with voice but without vote.

The prize is awarded annually at the joint JEM conference.
Applications must be submitted by email to: premimacanals@gmail.com
