The prize Évariste Galois (1811-1832), established in 1962, is aimed at master's or doctoral students for a research, bibliographic, or essay work on mathematics.
The works must be original. If they have been presented in previous editions of this award, or subsidized by the IEC or another institution, they cannot be considered. If they have been written in a language other than Catalan, they must include at the beginning: the title in Catalan and an extensive summary in Catalan, approximately three pages (2,800 characters with spaces per page).
The prize endowment is one thousand euros (1,000 €). Additionally, up to two honorable mentions may be awarded. A summary of the awarded works will be published in the electronic journal Reports@SCM. The awardees will be named guest members of the SCM for the current year.
For mathematical research work developed in master's theses or also in the initial phase of doctoral studies.
Aimed at young researchers, master's or doctoral students who have obtained a university master's degree from July 1, 2022.
