The prize Emmy Noether (1882-1935), established in 2016, is awarded to the best Final Degree Projects (TFG) of the three mathematics degrees taught in the principality, with the aim of encouraging the production of high-quality works.
The works must be original. If written in a language other than Catalan, they must include at the beginning: the title in Catalan and an extensive summary in Catalan, approximately three pages (2,800 characters with spaces per page).
The prize amount is €800, and the mention is €400. If the jury awards more than one prize or mention ex aequo, the total amount distributed will be a maximum of €1,600, and the endowment per prize will be double that per mention. The prize endowment is covered by the Mir-Puig Private Foundation. The jury will be appointed by the Catalan Society of Mathematics.
The winners commit to publishing a summary of the winning work in the electronic journal Reports@SCM. They will be named guest members of the SCM for the current year.
For Final Degree Projects of the three mathematics degrees taught in Catalonia (Autonomous University of Barcelona, University of Barcelona, Polytechnic University of Catalonia), defended between January 1 and October 31, 2025.
