Conferences

The SCM organizes activities in the form of mathematics conferences on a regular basis, associated with specific topics or on the occasion of international celebrations, also in collaboration with other associations.

The most notable series of conferences currently are the following, ordered according to the time of year in which they are usually held.

  • SCM IDM Conference, to celebrate International Mathematics Day. Since 2021, around March 14.Organized by the SCM.
  • Catalan Women Mathematicians Conference, to celebrate International Women in Mathematics Day. Since 2021, around May 12.Organized by the SCM.
  • TFM Conference for the presentation of TFMs from universities of the Vives Network. Since 2023, at the beginning of October.Organized by the SCM.
  • Teaching Conference, as a meeting point for mathematics teachers and professors from all educational stages, from early childhood to university, around a topic of debate of interest for mathematics education. Since 2004, annually, at the beginning of autumn.Jointly organized by: SCM, Feemcat, SBM-Xeix, and SEMCV Al-Khwarizmi.
  • The Role of Data Conference, to promote mathematics and statistics in the business world. Since 2019, in mid-November.Jointly organized by: SCM, SoCE, and ACIA.
