International research prize convened by the Catalan Mathematical Society that recognizes outstanding works in the area of dynamical systems.
Established in 2015 thanks to the generosity and vision of Professor Carles Simó, upon receiving the 2012 National Research Prize awarded by the FCRI, with which he funded the editions until 2023. The award has contributed to giving international visibility to excellent research in this field and to reinforcing Barcelona's role as a reference center in dynamical systems.
The prize is endowed with 4.000 € and is open to both continuous and discrete dynamical systems, whether in finite or infinite dimension.
Especially valued are: global themes rather than particular ones in the description of dynamics, new theoretical approaches and computational aspects, both numerical and symbolic, and relevant applications to any scientific or technological aspect.
For more information, contact the prize coordinator, Marcel Guàrdia.
