What is the Catalan Mathematics Olympiad?

It is the Catalan phase of the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO), organized here by the Catalan Society of Mathematics (SCM).

A single Catalan phase is called, allowing participation at various locations in Catalonia on the same day.

Catalan Mathematical Olympiad
2025-26 academic year

The tests of the Catalan Mathematics Olympiad (OMC) for the 2025-26 academic year will be held in two sessions: Friday, December 12, from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM and Saturday, December 13, from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM. We thank the universities for their support in conducting the tests and preparation sessions.

Register as soon as possible!
You must fill out an authorization from the mother, father, or legal guardian and attach it. There is also a document that must be submitted on the day of the test (with
the center's stamp).

Locations:

  • Barcelona: Faculty of Mathematics and Statistics (FME, c. de Pau Gargallo 14, Barcelona), UPC
  • Lleida: Polivalent Building, Room 2.03, Cap Pont Campus, UdL
  • Tarragona: Room 310, Catalunya Campus, (Av. Catalunya 35, Tarragona), URV

Participation in the Catalan Mathematics Olympiad (OMC) is free, but it is highly recommended to attend some guidance and preparation sessions. Check the calendar of preparation sessions organized by Catalan universities, which you can attend for free.

Result of the 61st edition, 2024-25 academic year

The jury was composed of:

  • Xavier Ros Otón, ICREA Professor at UB and CRM.
  • Jordi Castellví, professor at UPC.
  • Carla Oliver, secondary school teacher at Institut Escola Mirades.

The jury met on December 16 and agreed that the winners of the Catalan phase and those selected for the Spanish phase are the following people:
