The winner of the 2021 Ferran Sunyer i Balaguer Prize is Tim Browning (Institute of Science and Technology. Austria) with the monograph Cubic forms and the circle method. It will be published by Birkhäuser in the Progress in Mathematics series.
Registrations for the School of History of Mathematics 2025 are now open 2021 Ferran Sunyer i Balaguer Grants for research stays have been awarded to Clara Burgos Simón (UPV), Liena Colarte Gómez (UB), Wilson-Javier Forero Baquero (UAB), Anastasia Matveeva (UPC), Daria Stepanov(UAB) and Maximilian Wötzel (UPC).
The Mathematics and Society Awards have been given to Clara Prats, researcher in the computational biology and complex systems group at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, for contributing to visualizing mathematics as a fundamental response tool to the social challenge posed by this pandemic era; and Àlex Arenas, researcher in the ALEPHSYS group at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili, for contributing to the visualization of mathematics as a fundamental response tool to the social challenge posed by this pandemic era.
