On July 31, 2018 in Rio de Janeiro, the Committee for Women and Mathematics of the International Mathematical Union approved, at the proposal of the Iranian Mathematical Society, that May 12, Maryam Mirzakhani's birthday, be Women in Mathematics Day.
This year, the Catalan Society of Mathematics (SCM) joins the celebration with this proposal: a day to enjoy the screening of several interviews with Catalan women mathematicians and also to reflect on their role in society.

This documentary, in interview format, aims to show the daily life of some women who have studied mathematics. The purpose is multiple: to show a wide range of work situations, to exemplify «the normality» of being a woman and a mathematician, to give visibility to women in the mathematical field, and to provide role models for young women who want to delve into the world of mathematics.
In alphabetical order, the interviewees are Anna Busquet (degree in mathematics from the UB, currently works in a mobile game company), Núria Fagella (degree from the UAB, professor at the UB), Elisenda Feliu (degree from the UB, lecturer at the University of Copenhagen), Mar Giralt (PhD student at the UPC), Mireia López (degree in mathematics from the UB, secondary school teacher and currently a member of the ICE Service Commission), and Anna Tamarit (PhD in mathematics from the UPC, currently works in the data processing sector).
