The Catalan Society of Mathematics (SCM), the Federation of Entities for the Teaching of Mathematics in Catalonia (FEEMCAT), the Balearic Society of Mathematics SBM-XEIX, and the the Mathematical Education Society of the Valencian Community “al-Khwārizmī” announce the Maria Antònia Canals 2024 Award, for practical educational innovation projects aimed at teaching mathematics, addressed to the following educational levels: early childhood education (0–6), primary education (6-12), secondary education (12-18), and university.
The award is for an innovative classroom experience carried out in any of the aforementioned educational stages. Any teaching professional who carries out their educational work in centers in the Balearic Islands, from the first cycle of early childhood education to university, provided they use Catalan. , may apply for the award. Works already published or awarded in other competitions are not eligible. Projects must be submitted in digital format (Word, Open Office, pdf), with a length of between 7 and 15 pages maximum (Arial 11, double spacing).
The deadline for submitting applications ends on June 15, 2024.
