Eva Miranda, who has been named the 2023 Hardy Lecturer by the London Mathematical Society, begins the Hardy Tour on May 30, a series of nine lectures at prestigious universities in the United Kingdom. This international recognition adds to others received previously, such as the 2022 François Deruyts Prize, awarded every four years by the Royal Academy of Belgium.
The first lecture, “Counting periodic orbits,” is at the University of Cambridge. Some sessions can be followed online with prior registration. Detailed information about the entire series can be found at https://www.lms.ac.uk/events/
We sincerely congratulate Eva Miranda as a member of the SCM and the Catalan mathematical community, as she is a professor and researcher at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, also affiliated with the Centre de Recerca Matemàtica. Therefore, we invite you to a joint viewing of the main session, which will take place at Mary Ward House in London.
