The Catalan Society of Mathematics (SCM) announces the call for activities and competitions for the 2025-2026 academic year.
The Cangur Contest, the Sprint Problems and the Cangur Cup maintain the organization and structure of recent years, consolidating themselves as benchmarks in promoting mathematics among primary, secondary, and high school students through school centers. As a novelty, we are launching, together with OICAT and the SCT, the Bebras.cat, olympiad, which is also held through school centers.
On the other hand, there are competitions with open access in which boys and girls participate directly, outside of school hours. Even so, it is good for teachers to be informed so they can recommend them to their students and give them the opportunity to participate autonomously. Among these, we highlight as a novelty the Math Time Trial, and the’Catalan Mathematical Olympiad, which is now in its 62nd edition.
Team competitions via school center
Sprint Problems 2025-2026
Online and team tests, with registration on the same day of the competition, at the start of the activity.
Scheduled dates by level:

3rd and 4th year of ESO: December 10, 2025.

5th and 6th year of primary: January 21, 2026.

High school: February 4, 2026.

1st and 2nd year of ESO: February 18, 2026.
Kangaroo Cup 2025-2026
The Cangur Cup is held in person, in teams, in two categories:
Cadet category: 1st and 2nd year of ESO.
Junior category: 3rd and 4th year of ESO.
Calendar:
- November 2025: venue consultation and pre-registration.

December 2025: communication of the number of teams per center, registration/payment.
- January 28, 2025, at different venues across the territory.
