Sebastià Xambó has been awarded the Narcís Monturiol Medal for scientific and technological merit. This recognition has been given to ten researchers from the Catalan knowledge system (six men and four women). Additionally, the Narcís Monturiol Plaque, which recognizes an institution in the country, has been awarded to the Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO). Here you will find the ’Official Announcement
Sebastià Xambó is a professor emeritus at UPC, a visiting professor at BSC, and has served as dean of FME and president of SCM. He has received other recognitions, such as one of the RSME 2019 medals.
