Decision of the IMU Executive Committee on ICM2022
The Executive Committee of the’International Mathematical Union (IMU) issued a statement on Saturday, February 26, announcing its decision regarding the holding of ICM2022 and the IMU General Assembly. In this statement, the IMU:- Expresses its solidarity with the Ukrainian people.
- Announces that the ICM2022 congress will be held in a remote. format. Details will be specified later.
- Decides that the IMU General Assembly will be held in person at a location yet to be determined.
- Announces that registration for the congress will be free.
- Ensures that there will be no funding or representation from the Russian government.
- Mathematicians from around the world will be welcome.
