The Catalan Society of Mathematics (SCM) together with the Federation of Entities for the Teaching of Mathematics in Catalonia (FEEMCAT) open the call for the twenty-third edition of the ESTALMAT program in Catalonia (2025–2027). This initiative aims to detect and stimulate early talent in mathematics among students born in 2012 or 2013.
What is ESTALMAT Catalonia 2025–2027?
ESTALMAT Catalonia 2025–2027 (Stimulation of Mathematical Talent) is a pioneering program to foster skills and interest in mathematics among boys and girls born in 2012 or 2013. The goal is to detect early talent and provide a space for learning and growth outside the school environment, completely free for participating families.
How does the selection process work?
The process consists of two phases:
- 1st phase: selection test on Saturday, May 31, 2025 (10:00–12:00) in Barcelona, Palafrugell, Lleida, and Reus. Registration is from May 6 to 25, 2025, through the website www.estalmat.cat.
- 2nd phase: personal interviews with families and preselected boys and girls.
Who can apply?
Participants can be boys and girls born in 2012 or 2013 with special interest and skills in mathematics. Families must commit to dropping off and picking up participants.
