third Thursday of March, March 19, 2026
- Exclusively for centers in towns that have Saint Joseph's Day as a local municipal holiday a procedure will be enabled so they can participate in the test, as a contest, on Tuesday, March 24. The statements will be different, but the difficulty level will be assessed to be the same; the ranking, naturally, will be unique.
- Centers that choose to participate in the Kangaroo as part of a teaching activity, outside the contest: they can do so from March 19, never before!!!
The previous documents aim to promote the Kangaroo test.
However, centers wishing to register for the Kangaroo must approve the
official document of the 2026 Kangaroo rules
of which some fundamental details are provided below.
- The registration period will be in January 2026 (from the 8th to the 30th)
- It will be necessary to approve the document of the Kangaroo operating rules, which will specify all procedural details and which you will find in due course on this page.
- Registration fee:
- €15 for each sub-Kangaroo held at the center itself (primary, 1st2nd ESO, 3rd4th ESO, high school+vocational training). Institutional member centers of the SCM, free.
- To take the high school+vocational training Kangaroo at an external venue: €3/contestant. Includes registration and participation fee. Institutional member centers of the SCM, €15 discount.
- Attention: there is a detail to consider regarding the promotional documents above. The registration form is considered per center, and must be filled out globally for all school levels of the center and the sub-Kangaroos they wish to register for, it can only be accessed once. The payment of the registration fee, regardless of the modality, must be a single payment, as a global fee for the center.
- Participation fee for the Kangaroo at the center itself: €1/contestant, to be paid after the test.
- The test will be organized very similarly to recent years, with the possibility for high school and vocational training participants to go to a university venue. Answer sheets must be brought to the CRP in the days following the test.
- News: As has been possible for years, an adaptation of the statements for students with visual SEN can be requested. Link to the request form.
- For other adaptations, the Kangaroo rules specify that the center can proceed as it usually does in assessment tests for various subjects.
- This includes the possible interpretation of the statements regarding language. The SCM Cangur is only offered in Catalan.
