Doctoral Thesis Award (Assumpció Català i Poch)

IEC Award of the Section of Sciences and Technology of Mathematics (in honor of Assumpció Català i Poch)

Prize established in 1979. Awarded to the best doctoral thesis defended in the 5 years prior to the call or to the best research work. Unpublished works may aspire to this prize. The work must be at least one hundred pages long, and if the original is not written in Catalan, it must be accompanied by a summary written in Catalan of 4,000 characters.

The award may be declared void or not granted. The award will not have an ex aequo mention, nor honorable mentions. Acceptance of the award entails the commitment to write a review text on the winning work in Catalan, which will be published in one of the collections of the Section of Sciences and Technology.

The committee will be formed by three members proposed by the Section of Sciences and Technology.
