Mynooth University (St Joseph’s Square)
The annual meeting of presidents of the societies that form the European Mathematical Society will be held at Mynooth University, invited by the Irish Mathematical Society.
As every year, one of the mathematical societies that are part of the European Mathematical Society hosts the meeting of EMS presidents. The meeting, always held on a weekend (Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning), serves for the president to report on relevant events for the European mathematical community and propose some topics for discussion to get first-hand opinions from the societies that form the EMS. At the same time, it helps consolidate relationships among the presidents of the different societies and, in some cases, propose collaborative activities. This year the meeting is at Maynooth University, about 30 kilometers from Dublin, and the organizing society is the Irish Mathematical Society.
