Barcelona Dynamical Systems Prize

An international prize, offered by the Catalan Mathematical Society, under the patronage of Professor Carles Simó, to the author or authors of an article or research work written in English, in the area of dynamical systems. It is held every two years, and its first edition was in 2015.

Works in both continuous and discrete dynamical systems, whether finite or infinite dimensional, will be considered. The following aspects will be evaluated:

• Global themes rather than particular descriptions of dynamics
• New theoretical approaches
• New methodologies and computational aspects, both numerical and symbolic
• Relevant applications to any scientific or technological field

In order to achieve these characteristics, previous works by the author(s) may be considered when submission is requested. The committee will consist of five researchers from the area or related areas proposed by the SCM, and its composition will not be made public until the final resolution has been reached.

The prize amount is four thousand euros (€4,000), subject to applicable taxes. The prize may be declared void. Participation implies acceptance of the prize conditions.
