This week the call for teaching staff has been opened for Estalmat Catalunya, an initiative aimed at stimulating mathematical talent in secondary school students, jointly organized in Catalonia by Feemcat and the SCM.
The call will be open until April 20 through this application form..
Since the call for teaching staff opens only every two or three years, we encourage all interested individuals to apply. This call will allow us to incorporate new members into the teaching team and also have a reserve pool for future expansions.
Check the contest rules for the requirements and information to be attached.
Estalmat is an extracurricular program lasting two courses, in which a small group of selected boys and girls participate in sessions on Saturday mornings. In these sessions, led by secondary school and university teachers, various attractive mathematics topics are worked on through problem-solving, with the aim of developing creativity, reasoning, and a taste for mathematical research, in a collaborative environment complementary to school education.
The program is free for the young participants, but the work of the teaching staff is remunerated, thanks to the organizing entities, which obtain financial support, mainly through FECYT and the DEFP.
