Marc Noy, awarded the Narcís Monturiol Medal

Marc Noy, professor at the Department of Mathematics of the UPC

Marc Noy has been distinguished by the Government of Catalonia with the Narcís Monturiol Medal.

The Government of Catalonia approved, on September 12, the awarding of the Narcís Monturiol Medal and Plaque to Marc Noy for his contributions in combinatorics and graph theory. He holds a degree in Mathematics from the University of Barcelona, a master's degree in Mathematics from Brandeis University (United States), and a PhD in Computer Science from the UPC, where he is a professor in the Department of Mathematics. He received the 2012 Research Award from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, served as director of the Barcelona Graduate School of Mathematics (BGSMath) from 2015 to 2018, and has been the scientific director of the BGSMath – María de Maeztu excellence program since 2015.
