From October 5 to 7, 2022, the 8th Iberian Mathematical Meeting will take place at the Institute of Mathematics of the University of Seville (IMUS)
The Iberian Mathematical Meeting is an event jointly organized by the RSME and the Portuguese Mathematical Society (SPM) with the aim of strengthening ties and fostering future collaborations between both mathematical communities. This is the eighth edition since 2007.
Traditionally, this conference is structured around three scientific areas, the current ones being:
- Mathematics of information
- Calculus of variations
- Computational algebra and applications
Plenary talks will be given by Marta Casanelles (Polytechnic University of Catalonia), Wenceslao González-Manteiga (University of Santiago de Compostela), Paulo Mateus (University of Lisbon), José Matías (University of Lisbon), Delfim F. M. Torres (University of Aveiro), and M. Pilar Vélez (Antonio de Nebrija University).
