We announce the call for the selection process for the twenty-first cohort of Estalmat Catalunya (2023-2025)
Objective of the ESTALMAT project: The ESTALMAT project aims to stimulate the special ability and interest in Mathematics of Catalan students born in 2010 or 2011.
Activities: Saturday mornings from 10:00 to 13:00 h, during the academic period of the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 school years, at the Faculty of Mathematics and Statistics (FME) of the UPC, in Barcelona. Free for selected students. Families must commit to bringing and picking them up.
Registration deadline: from May 15 to June 7, 2023. Registration is individual, carried out by the mother, father, or legal guardian, through a form on the website www.estalmat.org. where detailed information about the program is also available.
They must indicate in which of the indicated locations they would like to take the test.
The selection process will be carried out in two phases:
1st Phase: Selection test. Saturday, June 10, 2023. Time: 10:00-12:00 h in the cities of Barcelona, Palafrugell, Lleida, and Reus.
The test will be evaluated anonymously, assessing the reasoning of the detailed answers required for the four problems that make up the test. The evaluation will not be made public, nor will personalized information be given; it is only used for preselection.
Second phase with the mothers, fathers, or guardians of the preselected participants according to the evaluation of the 1st phase and, individually, with each preselected participant.
