The image at the top of the page aims to highlight that in the direct organization by the SCM, centers from 41 Catalan counties participated, in addition to a center from Baix Cinca, in the Franja de Ponent. At the same time, the Cangur test was held as a contest in the Valencian Country and as a mathematics outreach and participation activity in the Balearic Islands, with the support of the SCM.
Detailed participation data for the Catalan call
To accurately assess the data, it should be noted that the difference between registered centers and participating centers in the contest arises because each center, alternatively to participating as a contest, can choose to develop Cangur only as a teaching activity of the center itself. The data collected in this regard tell us that to the more than one hundred and fifteen thousand participants in the contest, several thousand more can be added from centers that worked on Cangur, globally or partially, in class. An extraordinary participation that, as in 2025, we can count on exceeding 120,000 participants and approaching the maximum reached before Covid. Good data for the 31st Cangur of the SCM.
It is important to highlight that the geographical diversity of participation is maintained if the distribution of prizes and mentions is analyzed, as shown in this map:.
We can also add that in the list of prizes for podium places, which are 31, 29 different centers appear (!!!) and that the mentions of the top 11% are distributed across 35 counties.
