Carme Torras wins the National Research Award Julio Rey Pastor.
Carme Torras, a researcher specializing in robotics and artificial intelligence, has won the National Research Prize Julio Rey Pastor within the area of Mathematics and Information and Communication Technologies, for her pioneering contributions in the field of intelligent robotics, both nationally and internationally. Of special interest are her contributions in the field of social robotics.
The Carme Torras is a researcher at the Institute of Robotics and Industrial Informatics (IRI, CSIC-UPC). She won the Narcís Monturiol Medal in 2000, was nominated as EurAI Fellow in 2007, and as IEEE Fellow. in 2019.
