Emmy Noether Prize

Emmy Noether Prize (1882-1935) It is aimed at Mathematics degree students who defend their Bachelor's Thesis (TFG) at one of the universities in the Principality. The first edition was held in 2017.

  • Award amount: €800
  • Mention amount: €400

In case the jury awards more than one prize or ex aequo mention, the following rule will apply: the total amount distributed will be a maximum of 1600 €, and the endowment for a prize is double that for a mention.

The prize will be awarded to a graduate who defended their TFG between January 1 and October 31.

The jury will consist of university professors affiliated with one of the three mentioned universities. It will be appointed by the Catalan Society of Mathematics, which will decide the number based on the quantity of submitted works and will seek balance among the three involved universities. Jury members cannot be supervisors of the submitted works.

Candidates must submit their applications electronically through the form available on the IEC website.
