Establishing connections, weaving networks.
With the motto Establishing connections, weaving networks we present the XXI Didactic Conference of ABEAM.
Speaking of competencies, and specifically basic mathematical competencies, both in primary and secondary education, we have two that depend on the Connections dimension. One refers to using or establishing internal connections within mathematics itself; the other focuses on identifying external connections. Working on them with our students through good classroom practices helps them establish relationships, leading to a corresponding improvement in learning.
We also want to emphasize the connections established among the different agents involved in the study and learning of mathematics, and especially their use and necessity, whether among teachers, among students, or between teachers and students. The role of associations, working groups, communication networks, project-based work, STEAM, etc.
We will have a conference rich in classroom experiences and a variety of activities that we will surely all enjoy.
