Abstract
Geometric Group Theory intertwines techniques from geometry, combinatorics, and algebra to study infinite groups. One class of groups that has provided a rich playground for these techniques are Artin groups. In this talk, I will introduce a variety of different types of Artin groups and highlight some of the open questions and conjectures regarding these groups. I will then give some examples of how Geometric Group Theory is being used to answer some of these questions.
