It will take place on November 18, 2022, at the IEC\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n<p>The Catalan Society of Mathematics (SCM), the Catalan Society of Statistics (SoCE), and the Catalan Association of Artificial Intelligence (ACIA), with the support of the CRM, following the tradition of the two previous conferences, dedicated to the business world the first (2019) and the biomedical world the second (2021), celebrate this year the third edition of the conference, called \u201cThe Role of Data in the World of Social Sciences,\u201d specifically dedicated to the world of political science and communication sciences.<\/p>\n<p>The celebration of this conference responds to the willingness of the three societies to collaborate in the promotion and dissemination of data analysis as a useful tool at the service of Catalan society and all its scientific, technological, business, and social sectors.<\/p>\n<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_text et_pb_text_27 et_pb_text_align_left et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\">\n<p>The organizers of this conference have been, in alphabetical order, Lloren\u00e7 Badiela (SoCE), Eloi Puertas (ACIA), Aleix Ruiz de Villa (SCM), and Josep Vives (SCM).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The conference will consist of four lectures given by top-level specialists in their respective disciplines. The confirmed speakers are<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Marc Balaguer, economist and PhD in Public Policies and Social Transformation (Iv\u00e1lua \u2013 Catalan Institute for Public Policy Evaluation).<\/li>\n<li>Xavier Mora, PhD in Mathematics (Autonomous University of Barcelona - Ars Electionis)<\/li>\n<li>Vict\u00f2ria Oliveres, journalist (UPF) specialized in data analysis and visualization, interactivity, and video.<\/li>\n<li>Roger Tugas, journalist (UAB) specializing in data and transparency.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A summary of general interest data is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Date and location: November 18, 9:00 a.m., at the Prat de la Riba Room, IEC<\/li>\n<li>Registration until 11\/6\/2022 on the website\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.crm.cat\/user-identification\/?redirect=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.crm.cat%2Fevent-payment%2Fprice&amp;event_id=3077\" rel=\"noopener\">Registration for Data Conference 2022<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Free registration for members of SCM, SoCE, and ACIA.
