{"id":2959,"date":"2020-09-15T17:42:24","date_gmt":"2020-09-15T15:42:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/scm.iec.cat\/?p=2959"},"modified":"2026-05-23T11:18:52","modified_gmt":"2026-05-23T09:18:52","slug":"convocatoria-estalmat-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/scm.iec.cat\/eng\/convocatoria-estalmat-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"ESTALMAT 2020 Call"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\">We announce the <span class=\"gmail-m_-5690633490854185116gmail-m_-3355712530077341582gmail-m_-5871253816721445283gmail-il\">call<\/span>History of the selection process for the group of students for the eighteenth cohort of\u2019<span class=\"gmail-m_-5690633490854185116gmail-m_-3355712530077341582gmail-m_-5871253816721445283gmail-il\">Estalmat<\/span> Catalonia (2020-2022)<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Project objective <span class=\"gmail-m_-5690633490854185116gmail-m_-3355712530077341582gmail-m_-5871253816721445283gmail-il\">ESTALMAT<\/span><\/strong>: The objective is to foster interest and special ability in Mathematics among students from Catalonia born in 2007 or 2008.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Activities<\/strong>: On Saturdays during the school period of the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 academic years, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Faculty of Mathematics and Statistics (FME) of the UPC, in Barcelona, when in-person format is allowed, and in virtual format if conditions do not permit. These activities will be free for selected students. Their parents or guardians must commit to dropping them off and picking them up at the mentioned times in the in-person format, and to ensuring the necessary means for following the sessions that must be conducted remotely.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Registration deadline<\/strong>: from September 10 to September 30, 2020<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">This year's selection (25 boys and girls) will have three phases:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">The first phase will be on Saturday, October 3, 2020, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. It will be a test of concrete answer problems, to be answered online.<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">The second phase, which will be carried out by a selected group of boys and girls from the first phase, will be on October 17 and will consist of the explicit resolution of several problems.
