More than a hundred students participate in the LXII Catalan Mathematical Olympiad held in Barcelona, Lleida, and Tarragona<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The LXII Catalan Mathematical Olympiad<\/strong> was held on 12 and 13 December<\/strong> with the participation of more than a hundred students<\/strong> from educational centers across Catalonia. The tests were conducted in person at various university venues in the territory.<\/p>\n

Most participants took the tests at the Barcelona<\/strong>, located at the Faculty of Mathematics and Statistics (FME) of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia<\/strong>, while a group of students also participated from the University of Lleida (UdL)<\/strong> and the Rovira i Virgili University (URV)<\/strong>, in Tarragona. The organization wishes to thank the universities for the provision of spaces and hospitality<\/strong>, as well as their collaboration in the preparation sessions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The tests, structured into two sessions<\/strong> \u2014Friday afternoon and Saturday morning\u2014, tested the reasoning ability, creativity, and mathematical problem-solving skills<\/strong> of the participants. The Olympiad is aimed at students up to the 2nd year of high school<\/strong> and aims to foster interest in mathematics and detect young talent.<\/p>\n

Winners of the Catalan phase<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Once the results were compiled, the jury determined that the winners of the Catalan phase of the LXII Mathematical Olympiad<\/strong>, selected to represent Catalonia in the state phase<\/strong>, are:<\/p>\n
