On Tuesday May 20, 2025<\/strong>, the Catalan Society of Mathematics (SCM)<\/strong> the awards ceremony for the Kangaroo Awards 2025<\/strong> at the was held at the Barcelona Fair Congress Palace<\/strong>, in a very special edition commemorating the 30 years of the Kangaroo Test<\/strong> in Catalonia.<\/p>\n

More than 120 students \u2014 the top 15 in each of the eight school levels, from 5th grade of primary school to 2nd year of high school \u2014 were recognized in a ceremony that highlighted the reasoning ability, creativity, and passion for mathematics of Catalan youth.<\/p>\n

The event was attended by various institutional and academic authorities, with a presidential table consisting of<\/p>\n

The institutional speeches highlighted the importance of fostering logical thinking, creativity, and a love for mathematics through initiatives like the Kangaroo.<\/p>\n

A success in participation<\/strong><\/h3>\n

This edition had about 120,000 enrolled students<\/strong> from more than 1,000 educational centers<\/strong> throughout Catalonia and Andorra. The Kangaroo test has become one of the most significant mathematical activities at the educational level, promoting logical reasoning<\/strong>, the problem solving<\/strong> and\u2019enthusiasm for mathematics<\/strong> from a young age.
