SCM members will soon receive the printed version. You can also consult it online, both on the <a href=\"https:\/\/publicacions.iec.cat\/PopulaFitxa.do?moduleName=revistes_cientifiques&amp;subModuleName=cerca_avanzada&amp;idColleccio=173\" rel=\"noopener\">IEC Publications Portal<\/a> and, more interactively, at <a href=\"https:\/\/revistes.iec.cat\/index.php\/BSCM\/index\" rel=\"noopener\">revistes.iec.cat<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n<p>This issue contains an article by Alessio Figalli on the Monge-Amp\u00e8re equation, on the occasion of the Abel Prize awarded to Luis Caffarelli, an article by Carles Llad\u00f3 and Josep M. Brunat on the mathematics of satins, and an article by Juanjo Ru\u00e9 on graph theory, winner of the 2023 Albert Dou Prize.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p>Alessio Figalli's article is part of the Mirror Articles project of the Institut d'Estudis Catalans, within the framework of the Plan to Strengthen the Catalan Language in the University and Research System of Catalonia, promoted by the Department of Research and Universities of the Government of Catalonia, which encourages the publication in Catalan of current articles of high scientific interest. The original article, titled \u00abOn the Monge-Amp\u00e8re equation\u00bb and published in the journal Ast\u00e9risque (vol. 1148, p. 477\u2013504, doi: 10.24033\/ast.1092), of the Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Math\u00e9matique de France, has been translated by \u00d2scar Aznar Alemany and subsequently reviewed by the editors. The translation was done on the occasion of the awarding of the Abel Prize to Professor Luis Caffarelli in May 2023 in Oslo, partly for his contributions to the Monge-Amp\u00e8re problem. This review by Professor Alessio Figalli (Fields Medal 2018) was chosen because, although it is more technical than the articles usually published in the Bulletin, it helps to understand this problem, the contributions made to it, and its current state.<\/p>\r\n<p>We thank Alessio Figalli and the Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Math\u00e9matique de France for permission to translate the article into Catalan and publish it in the Bulletin of the Catalan Society of Mathematics, as well as Professors Xavier Cabr\u00e9 and Xavier Ros-Oton for their collaboration.
