{"id":11136,"date":"2023-12-19T09:40:58","date_gmt":"2023-12-19T08:40:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/scm.iec.cat\/?p=11136"},"modified":"2026-08-21T01:21:24","modified_gmt":"2026-08-20T23:21:24","slug":"11136-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/scm.iec.cat\/eng\/11136-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Results of the 60th Catalan Mathematical Olympiad"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The young winners of the Catalan Mathematical Olympiad, organized by the SCM through the olympiad committee, which took place on December 15 and 16, 2023, are now known.<\/p>\n<p>This is an individual problem-solving competition for pre-university youth. The classified young people participate in the Spanish Mathematical Olympiad, which qualifies for the International Mathematical Olympiad.<\/p>\n<p>In this edition, about a hundred boys and girls from all over Catalonia participated, who faced the challenge of solving 6 problems over two sessions. The test was held simultaneously in Barcelona (FME, Polytechnic University of Catalonia), Lleida (EPS, University of Lleida), and Tarragona (Rovira i Virgili University).<\/p>\n<p>We congratulate the olympian<\/li>\n<li>Anna de Mier Vinu\u00e9, professor at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and former olympian<\/li>\n<li>Miquel Ortega S\u00e1nchez-Colomer, doctoral student and former olympian.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We thank the jury and the Olympiad committee of the Catalan Society of Mathematics for their dedication.<br \/>\nWe also want to thank the work done in the preparation
