{"id":18778,"date":"2025-09-01T09:48:48","date_gmt":"2025-09-01T07:48:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/scm.iec.cat\/?post_type=concurs&#038;p=18778"},"modified":"2025-09-01T10:41:32","modified_gmt":"2025-09-01T08:41:32","slug":"problemes-a-lesprint-2425","status":"publish","type":"concurs","link":"https:\/\/scm.iec.cat\/eng\/concurs\/problemes-a-lesprint-2425\/","title":{"rendered":"Sprint Problems 24-25"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li>\n<h3>Page under update and review<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The contest <strong><em>Sprint Problems<\/em><\/strong> is a mathematical activity that was born to be held online in the year 2000, <em>World Mathematical Year<\/em>, as the closing of the SCM Kangaroo contest, aimed at school teams with the idea that through collaborative work they would reach the solution to the proposed problems as quickly as possible.<\/p>\n<p>Later, with the collaboration of ABEAM (and later FEEMCAT) in the call and the support of the Department of Education (or Education, now through Creamat), the scope of the proposal was expanded, and currently four calls are held each school year: for 5th and 6th grade of primary school; for 1st and 2nd year of ESO; for 3rd and 4th year of ESO, and for Baccalaureate.<\/p>\n<p>Teamwork, preferably organized in subgroups that must pass on answers to problems that are data for others, and the appropriate strategy are key to succeeding in the activity. It is worth noting that participation has steadily increased, and it is interesting to see that the key idea may have ceased to be <em>finding the solution very quickly<\/em>, but has become more like a\u00a0<em><strong> popular problem-solving race<\/strong><\/em>, where the main goal is to finish successfully, striving to find the solution to all the challenges posed, dedicating as much time as necessary.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Attention!!!<\/strong> We are currently experiencing an intense debate about artificial intelligence, and specifically about its efficiency in finding solutions to mathematical problems. Following the idea of the approach with which the activity is designed, the <em><strong>Sprint Problems<\/strong><\/em> we think it is important to comment that AI will undoubtedly have many implications for didactics in the future, but it does not fit at all with the approach of this contest, which requires reasoning and exchange of ideas among the team members.
