{"id":16081,"date":"2024-11-22T22:41:03","date_gmt":"2024-11-22T21:41:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/scm.iec.cat\/?post_type=concurs-presencial&#038;p=16081"},"modified":"2026-09-17T09:58:39","modified_gmt":"2026-09-17T07:58:39","slug":"copa-cangur","status":"publish","type":"concurs-presencial","link":"https:\/\/scm.iec.cat\/eng\/concurs-presencial\/copa-cangur\/","title":{"rendered":"Cangur Cup"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>THE KANGAROO CUP 2027 IS HERE!<\/h4>\n<p>For the 2026-2027 academic year, the Kangaroo Cup continues with its usual format, with a first in-person phase at different venues distributed throughout the territory, and a final phase with the winners of each venue, also in person.<\/p>\n<p><strong>After the success of previous years, the Cup will continue to be organized for all levels of ESO<\/strong>, in two categories:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cadet Category: For 1st and 2nd year ESO students<\/li>\n<li>Junior Category: For 3rd and 4th year ESO students<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Cangur Cup is an in-person mathematics problem-solving contest for school teams, organized by the Catalan Mathematical Society and logistically supported by Isotropic. Teams consist of 7 students from 1st and 2nd year ESO (Cadet category) or 7 students from 3rd and 4th year ESO (Junior category), with the condition that there can be a maximum of 4 students from 2nd or 4th year respectively on each team.<\/p>\n<p>The contest presents 12 problems and 60 minutes to solve as many as possible (first phase). It is a race against time where the score for each problem varies during the contest, so team strategy is very important! Additionally, during the test, teams can follow the contest status live, including scores, rankings, and the accumulated hits and errors of each participant. This makes it an exciting and fun game, with mathematics as the protagonist.<\/p>\n<p>The first phase of the contest is held at various local venues across the territory.
